About the role

Aspetto is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Intern to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, documentation, and internal finance initiatives. This is a hands-on opportunity for students interested in accounting, corporate finance, and emerging technologies to gain practical experience working with a growing company.

Your impact

Assist with organizing, reviewing, and maintaining financial records and supporting documentation.
Support account reconciliations and identify discrepancies requiring further review.
Assist with preparing financial schedules, spreadsheets, and internal reports.
Help collect and organize supporting documentation for financial reviews.
Review accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Utilize AI-powered tools to support financial analysis, documentation, and workflow management.
Coordinate with internal departments to obtain missing financial records and supporting information.
Track outstanding financial documentation, action items, and project deadlines.
Support special projects involving accounting, financial reporting, and internal processes.

What you bring

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Comfortable learning new financial software and AI-powered tools.
Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
Ability to work on-site in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

What sets you apart

Junior or senior standing at an accredited college or university.
Completion of coursework in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, or Intermediate Accounting.
Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, or bookkeeping.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for research, analysis, or productivity.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and financial formulas.
Interest in corporate accounting, financial analysis, or pursuing a CPA designation.
